The Connecting Windsor-Essex™ Smart Community Portal (http://windsor-essex.info) has added a new feature to showcase what the Windsor and Essex County area has to offer for youth ages 13-24. The Windsor Essex youth portal will be of particular interest to youth looking for information about events, job opportunities, education, recreation, health and wellness topics and volunteer opportunities.
"The introduction of this new website provides increased awareness of the many opportunities that exist for youth to become involved within our community. The site demonstrates the diverse and dynamic environment the youth of this area can experience,” said Denny Timm, Chair of the Windsor Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee.
“Working with the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee and our student team has led to the creation of a vibrant new resource that will better connect our youth with the Windsor and Essex County Region.”
The website (http://youth.windsor-essex.info) was developed with support from the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee and the hard work and dedication of a team of six University of Windsor students.
